Introducing “Forum Nazionale Giovani”
"Forum Nazionale Giovani" – Italian National Youth Forum
The Italian National Youth Forum (FNG), recognized by the Legislative Decree of the Italian Parliament n. 311 of 30 December 2004, is the only National Platform of Italian Youth organizations. It counts 75 member organizations and acknowledges a delegation of more than 4 million young people. The purpose of the Italian National Youth Forum is to involve young people in the social and political debate by creating opportunities of active citizenship, youth participation and European awareness. The Italian National Youth Forum is member of the European Youth Forum which represents the interests of European Youth in the major European and international institutions.
Since 2016, the Spokeswoman is Maria Cristina Pisani, who has always been committed to promoting human rights and equal opportunities. She is currently Vice President of the “Association des Femmes de L’Europe Méridionale”, which brings together important personalities and women’s associations from Southern European Union countries. She is the author of “Wasted Youth”, edited by Rubbettino, a survey on young Europeans at sixty years of signing the Treaties of Rome with a special focus on history of social, gender and integration policies in Italy and Europe.
Maria Cristina Pisani
The Italian National Youth Forum, for the development of the CATCH-EyoU project, involved some experts and collaborators such as Lorenzo Floresta and Martina Di Matteo.
Lorenzo Floresta has a master degree in Law and an International Master in European Studies. He is the President of Giovani Senza Frontiere (GIOSEF) since 2010. Freelancer, he works as a project manager and advisor of private and public bodies, NGOs and non-profit organizations. From 2012 to 2016 he was board member of the Italian National Youth Forum, where he also held the position of Vice President of the Foreign Commission. Currently, he is implementing new projects on innovation and new technologies for the social development of volunteering, citizenship at local, national and European level.
Martina Di Matteo has a specialization in Social Media Manager and Web Marketing at Ilas Institute (Istituto superiore di Comunicazione). She has collaborated with several national headlines and has conducted judicial inquiries including one on Pier Paolo Pasolini, published on a national newspaper. She was a press officer for the Ombudsman of Childhood and Adolescence.
